About Us
A Family with a Shared Vision:
Hi, my name is Frank Robertson.
In 1960, when I was five years old, an
automobile struck me as I ran across
Rt. 31 just outside of Westminister Maryland.
As a result of that accident, I eventually lost
the sight in my right eye due to Glaucoma
( then known as tunnel vision).
Little did I know that it would become me
and my families' goal to provide the best
possible eye care and eye wear available to
as many people as we possibly could.
Since 1979 we have had the opportunity to
take care of over 60,000 patients with their
eye care needs. From the very young to those
of advanced years we have been able to solve
many complicated individual needs.
In our effort to provide the most advanced care
available, we have always been at the forefront
in technology, and have been the first in many
cases to put such technology into use in our
practice. We were the first to use computer
enhanced Visual Field Analysis, the first and
still the only practice with Surfacing Equipment
to make bifocals and progressive lenses in the
same day, and now the first to have wheelchair
accessible equipment so that patients do not
even have to get out of their chairs to have their
eyes examined.
We are a family owned and operated practice
with everyone having a share in the day to day
operations of the office. From my wife Linda,
who is a practicing Optician, my son Tylor who
works along side me in our lab making glasses,
to myself, having been practicing as an
American Board Certified Optician since 1979.
We are all committed to being the best trained
and qualified people we can be and are
consistantly attending and taking Continuing
Education Courses to maintain American
Board Certification status.
Our philosophy is " never knowingly do things
to dishonor God; treat people as you want to be
traeted; be proud of what you did today; work
hard so as to have the same pride tommorow."
